As you work in an Adobe Premiere Pro project, you’ll often end up with several unused clips. This means more clips to look through and a bigger project file. It’s a good idea to periodically do do some housekeeping as follows:
- Save your project to capture its current state.
- Choose Project > Remove Unused to remove all unused footage from the project. All unused items are removed from the Project panel.
- Examine your project. If it looks okay, save your project. Otherwise, choose Edit > Undo to restore the removed footage.
