The Internet is Considered More Essential than TV, Radio, and Newspapers

Each year Edison Research and Arbitron issue an influential study called the Infinite Dial which tracks the behavior of consumers. It is targeted in part and the broadcast and entertainment industries, but there’s lot to glean from the study.

Here are two statistics that stand out to us as deep in meaning.

 

The Internet is now the single-most relevant source for news and information.  Even more staggering is how essential it is when you account for differences in age.
